Well, I took the Equinox back to the dealer after almost 2 months of waiting on parts they ordered on Dec 7th, 2005... I took it in yesterday morning to get the noise in the front end corrected... Now, I should say that in Dec when I originally took it in, I told them it sounded like the bushings in the front suspension were bad, missing, or other...
I just got off phone with Service Dept at Smicklas Chevrolet, and they explained to me that they replaced the stearing shaft ( I don't remember asking them to do this, or them telling me that was an issue ) I enquired about the other noises that I thought were from the suspension, he said, that they did find that the bushings were bad ( eureeka, my Equinox is fixed) ..... crap ......"The bushings are bad, and we have to order more parts for the suspension work." Am I a bit miffed? Hell yeah... I can go pick up my car again and wait for them to order parts.. maybe it will take another 2 months.... and they can repair something else that wasnt wrong originally?
I need a new home, I seem to have a bladder control issue that won't go
away, and I must whiz on everything I see. If you like
challenges, and my charming good looks, please leave me a note, so that
I can come visit you and possibly live with you. I am loved by
the folks I live with now, but I do sense frustration from them, so I
think it is best I move on.
My Equinox just called my cell phone, but the dealership hasn't called.. We have OnStar so the car has it's own phone number, and phone... I guess my car is calling for help... Maybe I should call the dealer and find out what is goin on.. or should I wait it out... Or maybe I should call the car, and see if it will answer :)
Well I went out to go to work yesterday morning and my new (7000 miles) Equinox starts right up, as usual, but when I put it in reverse to get out my driveway, there was a horrid smell of rotten eggs, and the thing just bogged down and acted like it was going to die.
I called
GM Roadside Assistance to get them to tow it to the dealer.
GM Roadside Assistance is awesome by the way, they were at my house within 10 minutes and had the car to the dealer within 30 minutes of my initial call, this was at 7am.
I went to the Dealership as well, to make sure they took care of some other annoyances we have had with it. The service manager told me he would call as soon as they found the cause for the mornings occurrences.. it has now been 31 hours, and no call....
